The Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress was a heavy bomber that flew thousands of missions in Europe during World War II, but also took part in the Pacific campaign, proving to be one of the most reliable bombers.
The original aircraft was purchased by the Gulf Coast Wing Commemorative Air Force «Texas Raiders» memorial group and flew from Conroe Regional Airport, Texas.
The aircraft was destroyed on November 12, 2022, due to a tragic mid-air collision.
