The Messerschmitt Me 262, nicknamed Sturmvogel, was the world’s first operational jet fighter aircraft.
Its aeronautical design was the most advanced of its time and according to some historians it was an aircraft that could have regained air supremacy for the Luftwaffe in World War II.
