The Messerschmitt Me 262 A-2a was the ground attack variant (Sturmvogel) of the first operational jet fighter, the Me 262. It stood out for its speed and power, although its impact was limited by its late entry into service and a shortage of resources.
Its aeronautical design was the most advanced of its time and according to some historians it was an aircraft that could have regained air supremacy for the Luftwaffe in World War II.
