The Nakajima B5N2 “Kate” was the Imperial Japanese Navy’s primary torpedo bomber during World War II, famous for its crucial role in the attack on Pearl Harbor and for sinking American aircraft carriers such as the Yorktown, Lexington, and Hornet, reinforcing its initial reputation as the best torpedo bomber in the world.
