The Fw 190A-8 was the most numerous and versatile variant of the German Focke-Wulf 190 fighter, serving with 5./II./JG 300 as an elite defensive unit against Allied bombers, notable for its robustness and heavy armament.
Ernst Schröder flew the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-8, achieving seven aerial victories and highlighting his skill against fighters such as the Mustang. Ernst survived the war and become a scale model builder. He passed away in 2012.

The camouflage corresponds to mid war years.
