The Grumman F4F Wildcat was an American embarked fighter of the Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corporation that operated mainly in the Pacific.
The Wildcat was a robust, maneuverable and reliable aircraft capable of withstanding heavy enemy fire. It was present in any important action in the Pacific until 1943 when it began to be replaced by more modern models.
